So, Loop is a little harder to read than the previous two books but I am still making decent progress. I am a little frustrated that it doesnt seem to be going as quickly. I get where the story is taking me but I feel its taking a little longer than it should to get there. In other words it is kinda boring at times, almost repeating itself. Yes, things are different and we have new people and the virus has now evolved into cancer, but we dont necessarily know that. Obviously, Ive figured out thats where it is going, its just taking him too long to get to the point. Its not uninteresting I just have figured too much out. Turns out this is the authors favorite book in the series and it is also written so it can be a self standing story, which it could be and then I would probably be more intrigued.
My second reason for posting today is that I forgot part of what I wanted to say yesterday, probably bc I was distracted by the stupid race. Anyhow, this weekend I was texting with my friend Leslie, whom I have mentioned before and we were talking about reading. She mentioned she had been trying to start Game of Thrones but was having a hard time. I agreed that I want to read it next and it is written in such a way I can imagine its hard to get going on. We decided that when I get done with this Ring series we are going to have a little mini-book club about the Game of Thrones books, set little goals and discuss it as we go which should help keep us both on track and motivated. YAY! Cant wait to start I am sure Ill be more obsessed with the story when I get all the mintute details!

Spiral and NASCAR
Here I sit Sunday about to start reading the third book Loop when I realize if I dont write the synopsis before I start I may get very confused, or forget things I would have otherwise included. But while I am trying to do this, Chase is watching the stupid Daytona 500. I dont terribly mind most sports but I hate NASCAR, who can get behind watching people whose sole purpose is marketing drive in an oval shape for 500 laps and like a minimum of 3 hours. You cant even tell how fast they really go while watching on TV at least if you are present at the race there is a sense of speed and excitement. But whatever, after I write my review I will put in my ear plugs and read Loop, maybe Ill get it done in less than a week! Because honestly the 4th book has me extremely intrigued at this point. Birthday.
Ok back to Spiral, this book starts with a new main character who is a medical examiner at the same college that one of our previous main characters of Ring worked at, the main character of Ring was the reporter Asakawa and the second main character was Ryuji. Our medical examiner is Ando and he knew Ryuji from college as well as now working at the same school. Ando meets Mai who was Ryuji's teachers assistant and close friend, everyone thought they must be involved but they were not. Ando has a friend who works in his office who he ends up sharing the information he gathers with and who helps him solve the mystery. Basically, the story starts off with Ando learning of the deaths Asakawa had previously connected and he starts to try to learn the cause of the deaths as well as the new fates we learn has happened to our old main characters. He finds Asakawas report of the events he and Ryuji had experienced during their "week". Ando uses his medical knowledge and all the factors he gathers from Mai and shares it with his friend who helps him come up with new "ideas" and leads. The story is how the Ring virus mutates from a video, to a story, to something much more real. By the end of the book the Ring virus had taken on a completely new and more dangerous form, which allows it to spread more quickly. I am interested about Loop but I can sort of see where it might be going although I havent always been correct when I try to figure things out before I read them. Long time No Blog- Back to Reading
There is absolutely no point in trying to catch things up from August of last year. I am going to say thatnks to my friend Leslie I am going to try to take my blog in a different direction. But first I will address some things- quickly.
Chase and I got an apartment right after Thanksgiving and that is going great.
My mom's husband is in jail awaiting trial for three different things done on three different occasions. Best thing is no one will give him bail this time, finally and the bad is apparently he is trying to snitch his way out of trouble not gonna happen but gonna cause some issues.
Also, my mother has decided to let him go and move on with her life. Best part is she is talking to my grandmother again, worst part she is going to have to leave the house on Chestnut Street. We have already moved the cats and taken out the memory type things we cant replace. But its a hard thing for us to grasp its the longest I lived anywhere in my life and my brother literally grew up in the house. Its been approx 19 years moms lived there and thats a lot of memories to leave behind. Hell, I had my first kiss on that porch!
Now on to my new direction---
Amoungst many people who have been making me feel guilty, by no fault of their own, that I do not read right now was my uncle this weekend. We were talking about nerdy things and I realized I just dont have a good excuse for not reading and there are so many things I want to finish that Ive started. Also, my friend Leslie reads upwards of 100 books a year and makes me feel like a lazy butt, she also does these cute little book reviews on her blog. So, I was thinking of rebooting my blog like hers. Quick posts about everyday things occasionally and little book reviews as I finish the books, but be warned I cannot read as fast as Leslie and will not be posting mulitple every week as she is able to. As a surprise to myself I was able to finish the first book in the 4 book series I decided to start with in under 48 hours, but I had previously read this book AND it was the weekend. So, here's my first synopsis, this might not be so great but I am sure Ill get better as time goes by.
Ring- by Koji Sukuzi
This is the first book of four, although the 4th book is a prequel it was released last and I shall read it last. This is the horror style book that stemmed the Japanese movie Ringu, which was the inspiration for the US version of The Ring, that I assume most people are familiar with, even if you didnt see it Im sure you know the concept.
The book, as one would expect is different from both the US and Japanese versions of the movie. One thing that is the same in both movies is the newspaper journalist, who is the main character, is a female that is unmarried. Well, in the book its a man and he is married so that completely changes the dynamic of the story. But a lot of the general aspects and basic story line are the same. There are some major twists and turns that are different, but I wouldnt reveal them here, because thats whats fun about reading! Figuring it out or thinking you have then having it all change! There is not much that I can tell you about the story without ruining the surpirses, but a lot of it you would already know due to the movie. The second book is Spiral and I started it last night, Im excited to see where it goes bc I know I started this one but I dont think I finished it and if I did I dont remember the end at all!

A month later
So, I haven't done the greatest job in the world of staying on top of this but a month later is not the worst I can do. Things haven't changed too much in the last month. Work has been pretty much the same, just keep truckin away as they say. Things with my moms situation have not improved and I am not sure what is going to happen, I stay in touch and try to be supportive, but mostly I stay out of things and I am just waiting to see how the cookie crumbles. Apparently today I am into cheesy sayings.
Chase and I have not made any headway in the moving situation but it does seem that Chad is going to stay at home with Dad so that takes some of the pressure off me and gives me some comfort that Dad can make it once I'm gone. He still has no luck with jobs but he doesn't exactly go about it the most efficient way. I am done trying to do it for him and he's just going to have to figure something out. The only thing I am really worried about in those regards is Libby. I'm sure dad will miss her and she him. I was thinking of some days dropping her at dads on the way to work. I think they would both like that. Back to Chase and I, we are still waiting to hear from Orbin about what he is going to do with this house. I told Chase something needs to happen soon because I want to be in a new place before the first of the year and December is the worst time to move esp all those expenses with moving as well as Christmas.
Christmas is another monster I currently choose to not think about. It has nothing to do with money and everything to do with complications. I am hoping that my mother will come around and mend things with JoJo so we can have a normal Christmas, also if she doesn't boot Ray I don't know what we will do Christmas morning bc Ray and Zach and I no longer get along and Pa and Cheri and Dave certainly wont want to be around him either so who knows what will happen Christmas morning. Then Chase's family is going to Hull for like a week, and they are pressuring him to be able to get off from work and go. One he may not have the option to just get off days around Christmas like he's freaking special when he is the newest employee. And two I cannot and will not go out of state and away from all my family for Christmas, I'm sorry but I do not understand this whole lets take the entire family from KY to IL for Christmas. Seriously its like a minimum of 17 people. Yes, its where Grandma Gray lives but she comes to Louisville for every Christmas and holiday anyhow. Chase doesn't comment on the situation terribly often. He says he wants us to be together and happy and doesn't care where we are but I know deep down he will be upset to miss the entire week with everyone. But honestly its not reasonable to expect people can just take off a week around Christmas in this day and age.
Also, I am now obsessed with pinterest. Tons of recipes, fun things to do, and great ideas to make life easier and more fun. If you are not familiar with it you need to get on that.

Its been a long time.....
So, I fell off the blogging train, but I'm going to jump back on and try to stick with it. Since I last blogged a million things have happened so here's the short of it....
I graduated!
Passed my boards!
Got a real job at a chiropractor's office in Crestwood, I really like it and its going great. I do her x-rays and I am her chiropractic assistant, therefore I set everyone up on therapies and help keep the flow of the office running smoothly. I work most closely with a girl named Julie, I really like her she is easy to get along with. The only other two people that are here on a daily basis are Linda who does insurance and billing, and of course the doctor. Her names is Dr. Pansegrau, but mostly we call her Dr. P. She is super nice and very driven, overall its a great place to work. And tons of my friends are coming here so thats kinda nice.
I went to Rob's wedding it was interesting, Bike Week Daytona, enough said
Chase and I went through a hard time we broke up but now we are back together, and I think better than before
My mom and Ray are in some crazy place, I don't know wha'ts going on from day to day. Its just bad and seemingly never ending. It has also put a great strain on JoJo and mom's relationship which I do not enjoy.
Zach is working at Spencer's and currently living illegally in the dorm at IUS with his friend Tyler although they are moving into an apartment in two weeks in New Albany.
Chad still working at Wal-Mart part time and currently is living in the cubby-hole room in my house with dad and I. He may be staying and taking my room.
Related to above post Chase and I are working on moving out to get our life going, finally.
My mom had an interview yesterday at Rumpke and will know tomorrow if she gets the job, dad went to an interview at Kintec today, it'd be like a Christmas Miracle in July if both my parents could get a job.
Chase just got a new job as an assitant manager at Big O, it's closer, pays better, still has benefits and has opportunity for advancement, he will have off one day during the week, work a half day Saturday and be off Sundays. Thank goodness he's off Sundays or I would never hear the end of it during football season.
Oh, I went white water rafting it was awesome, even though I almost died sorta. The weekend was super fun.
I suppose that's enough considering this is just to catch things up. Ill try to post regularly but we will see how that goes..........

Small Catch-Up
Since Ive been at Red Robin, nothing exciting has happened there. Its just a place I go a few hours a day a couple days a week to make some money. Im not sure if I will make enough money in the long run Im going to give the place a couple months and see what happens. If I have to Ill go back to serving either there or somewhere else, depending on how things go.
Things got a little crazy, JoJo ended up in the hospital for 4 days because of pancreatitis. It was not fun, and I have to spend 4 of my last few days before school started back up at my clinic site in her hospital room. Then right before she got out, Ray, my mom's husband, ended up in the emergency room, with an infection and had to have last minute surgery.
I started back to school yesterday, it was just a clinic day and at first I was worried about remembering what I was doing and afraid Id struggle but everything ended up being fine. It all came back to me, although I feel like its not good to have a 5 week break from school. In real life Id never have more than a week off at a time. Today we went to class class and this semester should be easy we only have to classes one on equipment and one on CT. James says the CT class is very easy and straight forward. Luckily we will only use a half day on Tuesdays so thats good.
I have tomorrow off from clinic because I am getting my braces put on. Im a little nervous to get them back on bc it will make me look so young. Also Im not excited about taking photos with them on. It wasnt so bad when I was a teenager but now Im in my mid twenties and not too excited about it. I want to get them on so I can get them off. Lets all hope my teeth move quickly and I can get them off in less than 12 months.

New Job
I got a new job at Red Robin hosting. It is really easy just like I thought it would be, and apparently we get paid once a week so that is good. I have not gotten a lot of hours recently so that does not pan out well for money. This week I wasnt scheduled much either but thats because the main girl there is leaving for school next week and she is getting a lot of hours her last week. At any rate there is nothing really exciting or unexciting about the job, its just a job and a place to go to for money a couple of hours every few days. My only complaint is the girls are not very good at running the board especially not compared to me so hopefully I can get the manager to let me run it soon.
Other than that not much has been going on at all. I went to another consultation for braces and it was great. She is super nice and I liked her a lot better than the other place. Plus she quoted me a price like a grand cheaper than the first people and she said she only is going to put them on my front 6 teeth. She believe I will only need them a year as well and I am hoping possibly a little bit less than a year. JoJo said she would pay for them so I have the go ahead to make my first two appointments and get moving in the process. My goal is to get them on this week, sooner they are on sooner they are off. Chase is of course not especially excited about me getting them but he will get used to it and get over it.
