New Job

I got a new job at Red Robin hosting. It is really easy just like I thought it would be, and apparently we get paid once a week so that is good. I have not gotten a lot of hours recently so that does not pan out well for money. This week I wasnt scheduled much either but thats because the main girl there is leaving for school next week and she is getting a lot of hours her last week. At any rate there is nothing really exciting or unexciting about the job, its just a job and a place to go to for money a couple of hours every few days. My only complaint is the girls are not very good at running the board especially not compared to me so hopefully I can get the manager to let me run it soon.
Other than that not much has been going on at all. I went to another consultation for braces and it was great. She is super nice and I liked her a lot better than the other place. Plus she quoted me a price like a grand cheaper than the first people and she said she only is going to put them on my front 6 teeth. She believe I will only need them a year as well and I am hoping possibly a little bit less than a year. JoJo said she would pay for them so I have the go ahead to make my first two appointments and get moving in the process. My goal is to get them on this week, sooner they are on sooner they are off. Chase is of course not especially excited about me getting them but he will get used to it and get over it.

Nothing Really Happened...

So, I havent done much of anything this week, especially nothing that is interesting, but I need to keep up the good habit of keeping up with this. This week I went Monday with Debbie to turn in my notebook and badge and we had a couple drinks and an appetizer at Old Chicago. That evening we had a dinner for Maci's birthday at Chase's house (he was working). I did get to meet Maci's family and they are super nice people. On Tuesday Chase and I went to see Horrible Bosses. It was hilarious, we loved it, way funnier than even expected. Then we had dinner at his moms house. Wednesday I didnt do much until we went to El Toro for Megan's birthday dinner. It was fun, I saw Alan for the first time since I quit on him and everything went fine so that was good. Thursday I went to try to get a job, got second interviews at Red Robin and Chili's. Id rather work at Red Robin even though Chili's might equal more money, the manager was a little too happy about the corporate life. That evening was Maci's Black and White Ball a runway hair show for her school. I went with Maria, Megan, and Honey (Maci's mom). It was interesting the hair show was successful, they raised a lot of money for their charities and we saw a ton of crazy hair both on the runway and in the audience. Friday I went to see Chase during the day and hung out with Brian and Jeremy in the evening. Saturday was the same deal. Now its Sunday and I am just hanging out. Im going to watch the game with Chase at like 1pm and stay until the end. Then I dont really know what I am going to do. Tomorrow is the orthodontist for a consultation and to Red Robin for second interview, I am hoping they will offer me the job so I can start making some money again and I can forget about Chili's. Then Tuesday I have to get my car to the shop. The exhaust has come loose yet again and my car sounds like a race car and I hate it. Guess Ill be borrowing a car from JoJo for part of the week.

St. Louis Trip

Chase and I went to St. Louis for the Cardinals Reds series on the 4th of July- 6th. It was awesome and a lot of fun. We drove up on Monday the 4th and got there just in time to get checked in and make our way over to the ballpark. Our hotel is at the Arch and park and only like 4 blocks from the stadium, perfect location. We had tickets to the Budweiser Suite and it was amazing. (First off we had 4 tickets and Chase sold two of them to a scalper for $100) The box was amazing full of memorabilia and Bud stuff, plus free beer and food all night! Not to mention the best seats and A/C. We had a great time. Chase wants to be buried in the stadium under the Anheuser Busch tile floor now, lol. We won the game 1-0. After the game we went to the Arch to wait for their fireworks. While we were waiting we saw the end of the Montgomery Gentry concert and then we only watched half of the fireworks bc the sucked. After we decided to leave the fireworks we headed to a restaurant in the hotel next to our hotel and it was pretty darn good. The next day we slept in late-ish and got up to walk to the Schlafly Taproom for lunch and then go to the Cardinals Team Store at the stadium. We walked like 16 blocks to the Taproom and they were closed! Chase was so mad. We then headed back to the stadium area and grabbed some lunch at a random place it wasnt great but whatever. We then got to the Team Store and Chase got two shirts for his birthday and I got one. When we left the Team Store we talked to the scalper and got first row tickets! We paid $140 but really it was only $40 since we had got the $100 for the previous days free tickets we had. We went back to the hotel to cool down and then headed down to the second game. This time we were in the first row halfway between home and first base, right at the edge of the dugout. Our seats were right behind the expensive Cardinal Club seats. It was awesome I got a ton of pictures. We started off winning and kept it that way, we won 8-1. It was Chase's Birthday of course so we went to the hotel and ate at the bar. We had some good food and a few drinks. The bartender was really nice but gave me drinks much too strong, I only had two but I was drunk. Luckily, I didnt get sick but I passed out real quick. Day three we had planned to go to the St. Louis Zoo since it was close and free and then try to go to Schlafly again for lunch. We went to the Zoo and turns out its insane there. Parking was crazy we just happened into a decent spot on the road, then we went in and the ma was a complete POS. It did not help at all the entire place was like walking in circles and backtracking to to make sure you saw all the animals and it was always like well which way are we supposed to go now. Plus it was extremely crowded which wouldnt have been such a big problem if people would have payed attention to their children. We had a ton of kids running into us. I was so annoyed, who takes there young children to a crowded place and doesnt watch them at all! It was fun and we were glad we went but we were also glad to leave. We then drove to the Taproom which was open this day and had some lunch. It was good and we got a discount because we sell their beer in the restaurant here in Louisville, how sweet is that? We went back to the hotel got changed and Chase went to trade our 4 party porch tickets to the scalper for two other tickets. He came back with tickets 11th row back at 1st base, seats 1 and 2! Being on the end of the row was excellent, more space and we could get up and down as much as we wanted without bothering anyone. This was Pujols first game back so I got a few good pictures of him. The game started off terrible, we were down by 8 in like no time! But then we started to come back and we did! It was tied 8-8 at the bottom of the 9th so we went into extra innings. No one scored until the bottom of the 13th and we lost by 1. So sad, but at least we won the series and gained the game on the Reds. The only negative thing that happened was that Chase's uncle Francis has been very sick and was dying in Florida the whole time. (His family was already there) His mom started asking him on his birthday to come down to Florida asap. Wednesday morning they decided he would fly out from St. Louis Thursday morning. The game was very late on Wednesday and when we got back to the hotel we had to shower and pack up. We didnt get in bed until 1am and had to be up at 5am. Chase drove us to the airport and I left him there and drove the 4 and 1/2 -5 hours drive home alone. It wasnt the end of the world I made it. We found out Thursday morning his uncle had passed away late Wednesday night. Chase had to stay in Florida until Sunday and he flew home. Saturday they had a big memorial party for his uncle and his entire family was there and they had a great time considering the circumstances. I really wish I could have been there with him.

Clinic is over

I finished my summer semester last week. This last week I was in the Outpatient Care Center, which is mostly pre-op exams and a few people who have been sent over with everyday exams by their primary care physician, things like hands, feet and spine work. The week went fast, i finished my book I'd been reading there this summer The Snow Fox and I finished Alice in Zombieland. There is quite a bit of down time when you are in the OCC. I am excited that it is finished, I got like 12 or 13 check-offs so it was productive. Plus now in my mind I am truly a second year student! More than half-way done with my program! YAY!
I went with Jeremy to get his new tattoo last night, he got the medalert symbol with the word diabetic below it, except its super badass. It turned out way better than he or I had expected. I went to see the shop and the guy that did it. He also has been doing Chris' sleeve and Laura's portrait of her mom. The guys name is Bob and I think he does excellent work. I am thinking I will go to him for my next couple of tattoos. The only thing is its a little expense at this particular shop, but currently Bob is an apprentice so he is not extremely expensive in comparison.
On Monday Chase and I are going to St. Louis! I am excited we are going to the Cardinals Reds series, for Chase's birthday (which is Tuesday). I saved a little over a hundred to take on the trip, but I got lucky and got a $600 refund from school this week! It makes things a little easier we wont have to worry about spending money now. I think its going to be fun, it will be nice to spend a solid three days with Chase and to be out of town for a bit. There's a chance I will be going to Florida with Chase's family in a couple of weeks, his Uncle Frog is very sick, he has metastasized cancer and his days are unfortunately numbered. I am looking forward to meeting all of his mom's family if I get to go, but we wont know the exact plans for another week or two.
