Work = Not Cool
The heading to this poat may make people think, well duh, work is not cool or fun. The sad thing is it used to be a little of both, at least most of the time. But lately it been the opposite. I am always going in as the 4 or the 1030 which is an opener for either shift and then I get cut before I ever have a chance to make any money. So, I go in and do all the leg-work and then everyone else saunters in and takes tables, make lots of money and leave. It is really starting to piss me off. Like today for example, I got in at 1030 and Saturdays are always super slow. So, I had all of two tables over the course of 4 hours and made all of $10, but tonight I am going to go back and get cut early because I am a dbl, even though I made no money and we did everything to be prepared for the night shift. Its really a lot of bullshit. I wish Chase would find a new job, because then they would piss me off and I would quit. Sure, Id have to find a different part time job to supplement the income but itd be better than putting up with this shit all the time.

The Simple Things
Its really sad, that as we get older we get really excited about simple stupid things. For example, I am super pumped about my car insurance going down. As of recently, I have been paying $800 every 6 months for liability. Since, my wreck has finally been settled and everything now removed, I can get a new quote. Now I am able to pay $560 something for full coverage every 6 months! Can you imagine that much of a change? I am so excited. Oh, and thats with only a $500 deductible, thats crazy good. The only thing is I have to get the chip in my windsheild fixed before they will put comprehensive and collision on my car. So, that is todays mission. I am headed out to Poplar Level to GlassDoctor in a bit to have my chip patched, but I am not going back to get the insurance put on until after the first, because I have a shit-ton of bills coming out and they will want another down payment when I add the comp and collision.
Also today, the cable company came and fixed our internet, phone and cable. Our internet and phone are going out randomly 3 to 4 times a day for maybe 5 minutes maybe 20 minutes. Its really annoying. The guy ran us a new line from the pole to the house and is putting a monitor on our service for a few days to see if it keeps going out why it is still going out. But I am hoping that the new line will fix the situation and nothing else will happen and we dont continue to have this issue.
Tomorrow I am going to see JoJo. We are going to order my books online for school, I checked and Ill save approx $125 by ordering them through Amazon rather than buying them from the bookstore. Also, I need new work shoes, pants, and if I can manage it I am going to get her to get me some mederma and my Imitrex prescription. Normally, I would try to get the meds myself, but work has been slow and money is not been perfect, plus I need like $200 more before my bills are due Friday. So, everyone keep your fingers crossed that I make some seriously good money tonight.

Good News
Well, so far so good on blogging closer together. I got my background check report back last night, and it had my drug test result attached. I didnt know they were going to send my drug test results in with my background check. But they did and I passed! There was nothing in my system at all. Which it says that 50 nanograms of cannabinoids will cause you to fail. That is like 0.00000005 grams. So, an extremely small amount. I am just so excited that things went well and I have nothing to worry about. I am in my program free and clear, and on the way to my future. Things are going so well in my life now. I feel like everything is finally falling into place. I really couldnt be happier in my own life. Obviously, I wish things were better for my parents, but as for my life I am very happy right now.

Ok, Ok, so its been a long time
Again, I am going to try to get caught up on this and then actually stay caught up. I have been thinking of updating lately, but I know how long it has been so it seemed a daunting task. Today though I am prepared and I have nothing else to do so I might as well get on it.
School ended well, I got all A's and I got into my program! That's right I was one of twenty-one people they picked to be in the radiography program for 2010-2012. By May of 2012 I will be a certified Rad Tech! Well, all that is pending on the drug test I just took yesterday. I have quit smoking weeks ago and been drinking a lot of water, but I was still petrified that I would not pass it. Chase just keeps telling me I have done all I could and that it will be fine. I pray that it is because otherwise I am totally screwed in regards to school, and I will have to tell my JoJo (and the rest of my family) that I cant be in the program because I couldnt pass a drug test due to THC. That is super pathetic, I know I can stay quit for the entire length of the program its only 21 months starting next month, and that is completely worth it for a career and the rest of my life. I just hope I quit soon enough. If all goes well I am going to my second orientation on Aug 3rd and will find out the rest of the details of the program and my schedule. So, everyone keep your fingers crossed that I will pass my drug test!
Chase and I went on vacation and it was absolutely wonderful. First, we went to Naples, FL and getting there was an adventure. Delta put us on our plane and took us off twice before we left, and if I hadnt used priceline to book our flights we wouldnt have been scheduled a later flight in Atlanta and would have gotten stuck there, we got to Tampa 4 hours late. Which sucked because we didnt get to spend much time there with his family that is in the area. Although the people I did meet were very nice and it was a good visit even if it was cut short because we had to drive to Naples which is about 2 and a half hours south of Tampa. When we got to the hotel it was super nice. We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort. The reason we were staying at the Ritz was because Jim and Morgan were getting married at the beach resort. That night and the next day we just spent time together and had a great time. The next evening we had the meet and greet with the wedding party, their families, and friends. It was great to get to see Gabe and Kevin, as well as Jim, Morgan, and their families. We all had a good time and the hors douievers were great, plus free drinks! After the meet and greet we went to the sushi bar and had some really good sushi and more drinks. The next day was Sunday and it was the wedding. It was absolutely beautiful and perfect, Morgan cried the entire time. Rob came down from Sarasota that day so we hung out with him before the wedding. After the wedding we had drinks, took pictures, and then had a nice meal at a long table followed by more drinks, music, and cake.
The next morning we headed to Melbourne, where Chase's uncle has a beach house. Melbourne is just a little south of Cocoa Beach, so we had to drive across Florida and to the north, it took like 3 almost 4 hours. When we got there, it was really nice, the Atlantic coast is very different from the Gulf coast. On the Gulf the water is very calm and warm and on the Atlantic there are a lot of waves and it is cooler. We had a few days there by ourselves before his uncle, aunt, cousin, and there friends and family came. Rob came and spent a day with us before his family came. At first just his aunt, her friend, and his cousin came. We had lots of fun with them. Although, we went to this little bar with his cousin and the end of that night was not very fun. Chase thinks I got drugged, cause I got extremely sick and the next day was very bad, like not hangover bad, it was completely different, I felt like I was having a panic attack and I couldnt eat but wasnt really throwing up, plus I was super weak almost unable to get up half the day. But by the evening it passed. Chase took care of me the entire time, he was so wonderful. It was here that he also told me he loved me. So, obviously now we are completely official. After the day in bed, the rest of everyone started to show up and we had some good food, followed by a great day at the beach together the next day. But then it was time to go home. Which really was not ideal.
Ever since we have been home things have been perfect. Chase and I are always together. He is completely different than before the trip. I could not be happier. I think this is for good, he and I and it makes me so happy and content. We always spend time together when we arent at work whenever we can.
On a much less happy note, while I was in Florida, my mom got sick and had to be in the hospital for a few days, she was still there when I came back actually. This particular sickness sent her cancer into a fit. Her oncologist told her she was now in stage 2 of her cancer and that she needed chemo. They wanted her to do 6 months of chemo. During this time she cant spend a lot of time in the public, really any time, and cannot be around babies. She only has to receive the chemo 2 days of each month, but it makes her very weak for a while after receiving the medicine. We have now done the first two months worth of treatments. These two times I have taken her one day and JoJo the next. Because next month I will be in school and wont be able to help, so JoJo will have to take her the entire time and thats hard on her. She will be 70 next month and although she is in good health its very stressful and she doesnt drive as well as she believes she does. On a good note the first treatment mom received went extremely well, and while we were there receiving the second treatment her doctor said she was doing so well that if it continued like this he may not have her do the entire 6 months. That would be wonderful, because the last months treatment would be around Christmas time so mom wouldnt be able to do any shopping and would feel sick the week directly before Christmas. But things are looking up and I am praying that they continue that way.
Work is driving me crazy, I am so sick of working with lazy people and pulling more than my fair share of the weight. If it wasnt for the fact that I get the shifts I want and some preferential treatment due to being part of the family basically, and that I dont want to have to learn a new restaurants way of doing things I wouldnt be there any longer. Lately, its also been slow due to the extreme heat we are experiencing this summer. It got hot in June and has never cooled down. It has felt like August all month, at this point I am just waiting for September and hoping that fall kicks in early with a little relief.
Dad still doesnt have a job, but Velinda gave us a good lead on one. I am hoping that it will work out well, if he doesnt get a full time job by the winter when the mowing stops, he wont have enough money to keep the house. Chase said we could live together if I have no where to go, but I dont know what my dad will do. Unless his girl friend suddenly changes and wants him to come live with her.
I lost my Buddy Dog. I came home from work one night and he was laying paralyzed on the floor. Chase rushed here to help me take him to the emergency vet. They said he had encephalitis and that it would take weeks to help him and then he may only get back to 60% of himself. I could not up him through all that. So many treatments, living alone in a little cage, I could only visit him an hour a day really. We had to let him go, it was extremely hard and sad. I still miss him so much most of the time. I just hope he knew how much we loved him and that I did all I could for him. Right now, I am not going to get a new dog. I want to wait and see how school goes and how much free time I really have. JoJo is going to help me with money, but I will still have to work some as well as the fact I will need to spend more time studying than I have in the past.
Chase finally met all my friends except Chad and Tiff, Chris and Laura had a big party for their birthday and we actually got to go. I think he liked Kurt and Ashley best, which is good since they are the most important, being my brother and sister-in-law and all.
I think I have covered everything from the end of the school year through today now. I am going to try to update once a week or every couple of days. But I have failed at that goal in the past, hopefully this time I will do better. I wont be going anywhere so that should help.

Not much
I havent blogged in a few days but nothing exciting has happened. Just been busy with school and work. Trying to make enought money for the vacation and trying to get through the last two weeks of school.
I did buy two dresses for the vacation they are both sundresses more or less. They are cotton and go to my knees. One is solid yellow and bright and has thicker straps. The other is blue with white flowers that are outlined in black, it has a halter design top. I really like them. I had to buy dresses because I got the dress I wanted to take out of the closet and it had a mystery stain on it. So, I took it to the dry cleaners and the couldnt get it out, so I tried to get it out using the "old wives tale" way and it came like 60% out, so I am going to try again but in case I need two dresses for the wedding and this way if I get the stain out I can have 3 dresses for the summer and the trip! The mystery stain is really annoying though, it looks like cooking oil or grease does but it had an orange-red tint to it and it was NOT on the dress when I put it in the closet so, wft...
So, is not bad, classes are boring and short in a lot of classes. I did half of the volunteering thing. We went to the Volunteers of America and got split into the two guys and two girls the guys went to the cafeteria to help get ready for lunch and myself and Tanya went to straighten things up and clean out some things. First, we cleaned out the basement and organized the donated toys that were left from Christmas. Then we organized the extra towels, blankets, and pillow cases in the office/storage room. They gave us a tour but there wasnt much to it. The rooms, the cafeteria, the living area, and the toy room, plus a little library with a couple of computers. The people who stay there are either recovering women in one area or the families in crisis in another, they also can stay there during the day and have a private room, one per family, rather than having to stay in a group room and leave between 9am and 5 pm. It was interesting and eye opening, but more than anything Tanya and I talked. She is from Pakistan (looks Indian) and we just talked about life and culture differences, she has only been here 4 years so we just asked a lot of questions. That was fun. We have to go back this Wednesday too for 2 hours I cant wait to get it out of the way.
Other than that all I have done is work. I didnt get to go to Thunder or anything else. I am working again all this weekend. But gotta make that money, right?

Finger update
I went to my doctor today because I just dont feel comfortable with how it was looking and feeling for that matter. Well, she told me that I need to go to Kuntz and Kleinarnt, which are the world famous hand surgeons here in town. Yep, hand surgeon, she thinks that the stitches need to come out and the silver nitrate needs to be rubbed off and then it needs to be re-stitched. So, I am super excited about this. Luckily, mom can go with me tomorrow afternoon so I dont have to drive home from the doctor after they fol with my finger but I will have to drive back to my house from moms. Plus I have to miss my humanities class because the only appt they could get me soon enough is at 3 pm tomorrow. Speaking of I need to write my teacher an email and let her know why I wont be there tomorrow. Oh and if I couldnt make things worse I slammed my middle finger into the front door yesterday trying not to catch my ring finger in the door. Therefore basically two or my fingers dont work properly on my left hand. Blah.

Argh!
So, as I have previously stated I am going on vacation and obviously I have bills so I am a little stressed. I dont want to have debt after the vacation but that means I have to pay it off before we leave. I also have to have money to pay all my bills that come due 2 days after we get back from vacation, and have money to spend while on vacation. So, to say the least I am worried about money and I need to work as much as I possibly can. Well, this morning of course I would find a way to compromise that, I sliced my finger WIDE open. It was super deep and like across the entire palm half of my ring finger. So, had to leave work, go to the immediate care center and get 4 stitches. Then it wouldnt stop bleeding so they had to use the silver nitrate to cauterize it, so there is this huge black burnt piece of my finger and 4 stitches and the numbness is just now wearing off and it hurts worse than when I cut it. This figures. Now I am bummed. Going to go back to work tonight, I hope that I can work efficiently tonight, I need the money!
