Verdict is...
Well, its not a 100% but the verdict is no surgery, just a stomach scope. Doctor says the HIDA Scan shows that my gallbladder is operating at 95% which apparently above average. He says that since I do have polyps one day my gallbladder may go down the drain but that wont be today or really anytime in the near future so thats excellent news. Although, now we are back to square one, what is really wrong with my stomach? So, on October 6th I will have a stomach scope, yes its as bad as it sounds but they will put me to sleep. It only takes 15-30 minutes, they use a camera to check out my stomach and the beginning of my small intestine and take a couple of biopsies while they are in there. He said the worst part will be the drink I have to have to numb my throat, apparently it tastes horrible. Although I believe the worst part will be the IV. When I went to get the HIDA Scan the entire thing was a disaster. The radiology department and the hospital had my appointment at 830 but the nuclear medicine department that actually administers the test had me at 930. So, after waiting until 9 I asked and got taken back, but then the girl couldnt get an IV in my right arm, she stuck me once and it was EXTREMELY painful, and she realized I had a valve right there. So, out that one came then she tried a second vein twice and that one wouldnt return the blood, so she had to stop and wait for someone else to come start my IV. Like 20 minutes later some guy came and got it going in my other arm but I had to keep my arm completely straight the entire time and it still stung like hell. The stupid scan took an hour and a half from there. All in all we were at the hospital from like 750 until 1230 blah. Hopefully, this stomach scope will give me a final diagnosis on whats really wrong with my stomach and then I can get on the right track with medicine or treatments or whatever is needed. I wish that I could have the scope sooner but its the closest date that they have available. Oh well, just one day at a time and Ill get it under control soon enough. Although, it does suck that one of my veins is still bruised from the inability to get an IV started in my crappy veins.
