Dog and Surgery Updates

Good news and other news. The good news is I got a dog. He is a beagle and I named him Clyde. He is super cute and very good so far. He like to chew a little but he hasnt destroyed anything yet. I am just keeping a close eye on him to keep him from getting into any trouble. How I got him is sort of interesting. My friend Chris' mom has a friend who randomly acquired him and couldnt keep him. She said he just waltzed in the front door of the Y the other day looking not so hot and they were going to send him to the pound, so she took him home. She has two other dogs and no space, time or money for another so I told her I would take him to keep him from going to the pound. He is house broken so that is good. The only thing is keeping an eye on the trying to chew things.
As for other news, its not bad and its not good I suppose. The surgeon said he wanted me to have the HIDA Scan before he said for 100% that I was going to need/have the surgery. So, in the morning I am going for that and by Friday I will know what the deal is. We did go ahead and schedule the surgery, because he stays very busy and we needed to secure the closest date possible as soon as possible. So, if I have surgery if will be Oct. 4, unless a closer date comes available through cancellation and then Ill jump on that. The HIDA Scan is where I drink some medical liquid fat and they see what it does to my gallbladder and how it reacts. If I have an under active gallbladder then surgery is on. If it functions at even 80% then I have to start having multiple other tests done to figure out what sort of digestive issue I actually have. Which I really dont want to do. I am not very excited about the idea of surgery but I am less excited about tons of testing. Ill keep updating as I know more.

  1. Sorry I've been such a shit friend lately. I've been so wrapped up in everything in my life. I wanted to call you after I got that fb message about your surgery, but I didn't. I'm sorry. I miss you. I know that it's going to be so much harder to see you know but I want you to know that I am here for you.

I hope the surgery fixes everything. And I'm glad that you got a new dog. Love you!
