Dog Possibilites

I may be getting a new dog. My aunt works with a lady who found a dog wandering around McNeely lake last weekend. He is a young Australian Shepherd and he is deaf. She put an ad in the paper but hasnt gotten any response. The lady cant keep him because she already has dog and he is not especially fond of this new dog being around. I told her if no one calls to get him then I will take him. She said if she doesnt hear anything by Sunday then he is mine. He is deaf so thats an issue, but she said he is very nice and calm and quiet. We arent 100% on if he is house trained but she says he is cage trained, so I am hoping that means he is house trained as well. I suppose I am going to have to call PetSmart or somewhere and see if they have special training for deaf dogs. Oh, the lady also says he walks on a leash just fine he just doesnt like to be near the road. I am very excited about being able to help this dog. My one question I cant figure out is what do you name a deaf dog?
