Wax Burner
I am to say the least disappointed in my flameless wax burner. I am not sure if it is a universal suck-iness that comes with the flameless burners or if I just got a bad one. But here's the deal, it takes FOREVER to burn any of it away at all. Its like the never ending bowl of wax. And problem number two is that it only smells good for the first few minutes while its melting down and then it doesnt smell at all. What is the point of this at all? If it isnt going to burn away the wax and if it isnt going to smell while it doesnt burn away the wax then wth. Should I look for a better one or is this typical? I got it from Yankee and I dont use the wafers you are supposed to use bc I use reworked wax from old candles. Is that my problem? Do they only work well with the special wax wafers? Someone help!!

I'd guess that it's a combo of the wax and the amount of it you are using. How much are you putting in there? Did you do the muffin tin bit?
ReplyDeleteDon't use the dollar tree waxes either. They have virtually no scent. although their oils are ok.
I got a flameless wax burner for Christmas. My SIL got it from scentsy. I only have one scent of wax from that company, but my warmer melts it fast and the scent is STRONG! I've been using the same two little bars of wax for going on 3 months now and it's just now starting to lose its potency. I think they are about $5 a scent.
I'd try a new wax before giving up on the warmer.
The thing is I have a lot of these little ones to burn, I did do the muffin tin thing and they are small. The first time I think I had combined two and it was too much, but now Im using a smaller one and it still doesnt seem to be going anywhere. I want to burn the old wax so as not to waste it I dont want to buy the wafers unless I need them, so hmmm.
ReplyDeleteRemind me the next time I see you and I'll give you a few pieces of the kind I have and you can give me a little of what you have. Then we can see if there is a difference in the burners or in the wax.
ReplyDeleteOHH, good idea!
