Funko Fridays are BACK!

Funko Fridays hosted by KimiWho.com and dePepi.com

So, I am late but this week I will be on time, or by Saturday which is fairly on time for me. Anyhow, I did miss last weeks post so before I tell you the Pop! I want most, post holidays, I will tell you my Funko Resolution. I need to make two solid resolutions in regard to my Pop collection, 1- MUST find a better way to store and display I need a shelf or something seriously. B- Limit buying to specific $ amount a month. Let's be honest, its easy to get out of control and my collection has grown exponentially in the last bit so I should be happy and enjoy what I have, only trying to REASONABLY finish collections I have started and NOT starting new ones...

But I digress back to this weeks post!

The Funko that I want most now that I've added about 20 over the holiday season is....

Rhaegal!

Funko Fridays! Funko Yourself!

Funko Fridays hosted by KimiWho.com and dePepi.com

I kept wondering how I was going to do this weeks theme, would we just be descriptive, would some people draw it either on paper or computer generated? I dont have talent for that. So, when I saw that our hosts had found a Pop Generator I was pumped! Here's as close as I could get to my Pop! likeness. I gave myself the skull bow because I have a skull tattoo on my right foot (I have quite a few tattoos but you wouldnt be able to see any in the outfit I have on here anyway.) My favorite color is red and I def love the sneakers. What would you look like as a Funko Pop? Head over to Funko Fridays for a link to the Pop! Generator!

Funko Friday: The Funko I want most for Christmas

Funko Fridays hosted by KimiWho.com and dePepi.com

This weeks post is the Funko I want most for Christmas. This was SO HARD! I want a ton of Funkos but I am going to post my most wanted!! As a little girl I remembered growing up was hard, my parents were divorced before I had memories but I remember when I turned 5 my dad brought me to my moms after a weekend with him and my mom, dad and step-dad all gave me a VHS copy of the original live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, yes, as a 5 year old girl all I wanted was TMNT. Now before you ask I am a Raphael girl all the way. As a teenager I carried my Raph action figure in my purse. Ask my brothers they will attest to it! But I digress, in my grandparents basement all my original TMNT action figures are there, I have my sewer every character counting two Raphs, Shredder, and Splinter (Brain too for my old school cartoon freaks)and a pizza thrower, Bee Bop and Rocksteady, but most important I have my April, awesome yellow jumpsuit (the Bride stole that look, but I still love you QT) April and her left leg, that's right folks since the late 90s I have had April and her left leg, they are not connected but Ill be damned if I dont still have both pieces! SO, in turn the fandom of Pops I want next is TMNT but most of all I want April!

What Funko do you want most? Or what collection/fandom is next for you to cross off the list???

Funko Fridays Show and Tell

Funko Fridays hosted by KimiWho.com and dePepi.com

It took me a few days to decide which Pop! I wanted to use for this weeks post. I have got a few new ones that haven't come out of the box for a picture yet, and a lot of older ones I love. I went back and forth, but then I decided since it is the Dec Show and Tell I would go with my only Holiday Pop! Bunny Suit Ralphie from everyone's favorite A Christmas Story.

My little brother Zach got this little guy for me for last Christmas actually. I figure he deserved a location picture, plus who doesn't want to show off their tree? Im hoping to score a Buddy the Elf as my next Holidays Pop! Do you have any Holiday Pops??

Funko Mystery Box!!

Funko Fridays hosted by KimiWho.com and dePepi.com

An extra post today! I stalk the Funko blog and they opened a Mystery Box on it and that peaked my interest, I had heard about them but I didnt know what the specifics were, afer watching the video I decided there was quite a bit of cool stuff for $20, so if I went past a GameStop today and they had any left I would get one. Well, I went out to Wal-Mart and was going to get some food and the restaurant I was going to go in had a GameStop right there, I had even forgot about it, but it was a sign so I went in and there behind the counter there were maybe 9 left. I bought one and the other cashier asked if I was going to open it so I said sure lets open it now, that would be more fun right to open it with a bunch of people who think its cool too, rather than alone in my kitchen later? Well here it is!

Im pumped, I have the regular size Freddy and who doesnt love Harley Quinn?? The ReAction figures are pretty cool as well, I got Predator, unmasked and Kane, with face-hugger(from Alien). But of course the best is the Fallout Power Armor GameStop Exclusive Pop!

Funko Fridays! Why do I collect Funko??

Funko Fridays hosted by KimiWho.com and dePepi.com

What a loaded question, Why do I collect Funkos? I guess there are a lot of reasons. First off, I am a collector at heart, since I was a little girl and I would pick up rocks I liked I have been a collector, I just love it. Secondly, they are so darn cute, I just love them, I dont collect every kind of Funko, I prefer the Pop! Vinyl; I do enjoy a mystery mini every now and then but I hate having multiples of something that are the same, now if its a variation Im all about it. I digress, lastly I collect them bc it makes me happy, finding a Funko I have been looking for or finishing of a group I started is a great feeling, brings back the kid in me but also the feeling of accomplishment. Oh I guess also bc Im a geek and I love to have a part of my fandom. I have always had a hard time with memorabilia or toys etc, this way I can have a physical piece of my fandom from my obsessions and its fun to show them off to friends!

I am going to post a picture of my most recent Funko Finds so this one has a picture! I am from Louisville KY so, around here The Big Lebowski is kinda a big deal, here is my collection of all 5 Lebowski Funkos.

I also took The Dude out of the box for you guys, and I was only going to do him but then Donny and Walter felt left out and I just cant get enough of Walter's sunglasses, so I posted them too! Maude and The Purple Jesus felt a little neglected but maybe they will come out on another day.

Lastly- I wasnt able to link in for the previous posts I was too slow at figuring out the pictures, so feel free to read my other Funko posts!

Week Late Funko Friday! (Lucky to Have)

Funko Fridays hosted by KimiWho.com and dePepi.com

This weeks prompt was the Funko I feel lucky to have. I didn't post this right away bc I really had to think about it. I can be a bit indecisive, which is weird bc I have OCD and I like everything a certain way. Anyhow I digress, I finally decided which Funko it is. Its my LootCrate exclusive Doc Brown from Back to the Future Series. This was the first Pop! I got that was an exclusive that I got myself. Look at how cute he is! Only problem is now I need Marty and the DoLorean... But look at that hair, love it!

I do have a PX Exclusive bloody Daryl from TWD, but I got that from a friend who had two so I didn't acquire it myself, but that would definitely be number two on the list! The more I look at blood-spattered Biker Daryl the more I like him, and again with the sweet details on the back, he's not Daryl without the vest. What Funko do you feel lucky to have??

The next prompt is going to be Funko Finds, what good Funkos have your scored lately?! I am looking forward to this one and need to start thinking now bc lately I have been rapidly adding to my collection....

Funko Fridays! Collections I Want to Complete!

Funko Fridays hosted by KimiWho.com and dePepi.com

Funkos are a problem for me, I love them and I want so many. I have a few randoms that are part of a set that I will probably never finish because they were gifts and as much as I love them I wouldn't have bought them due to the fact I have OCD and once I have one I want them all, yes I know they aren't Pokémon. Anyhow. So, the two collections I have started that I have to finish are my GoT and Firefly sets. BUT both of those need clarification. For example, I already have the first 5 Firefly Funkos they released but lets be honest be ALL know they will release at least 4 more, because you cant have a Firefly set without River, Simon, Inara and Shepherd Book... And as for the GoT, I cannot keep buying these, I have to cut myself off at a point, and that is the 4th series. I already have about 22 of this particular set and if I just finish the ones I am missing thru series 4 I will have over 30 just from that set. Would I like to continue YES! But I only have so much space and I cant make myself sell any more than the 4 I gave to my little brother to eBay for me... Note: they were dups or randos... just sayin' I cant part with any of my loves!

Funko Fridays! The One That Started It All!

Funko Fridays hosted by KimiWho.com and dePepi.com

I have never tried to use a link up before but I am going to attempt to actually BLOG! I supposed I need to take some classes or tutorials online. Luckily there are a lot of people out there who want to help and make the info accessible. BUT I digress! This post is supposed to be about the Funko that started it all for me.

If you don't know what Funko Dolls are then you either don't like geek or you have been living under a rock because they make these wonderful little guys for most every fandom out there. I personally like the POP! series ones best, and that's what I have the most of but that's a blog subject for another day... I actually did not start my own collection! My little brother Chad went on a road trip with his best friend to California and my brother brought me back a souvenir, Khal Drogo, he had gone to Universal Studios and knew I loved GoT so perfect gift choice... except it started an obsession... I honestly have to go count how many I have now. But it all started with a little cute Khal Drogo.

As you can see I had to play Funko Jenga to get this guy out. I have the most GoT Funkos, as my collection started with them and for a while I thought would only consist of them, I have 22 plus 5 of the mystery minis. Also, I do store my Funkos in their boxes most of the time, I dont like to dust and they have lots of little spots to get dusty so they stay protected mostly.

I like to take pictures of both the front and back of these lovely little guys bc they have so much detail and often people only concentrate on their faces or whats in their hand when typically they have awesome 360 designs! Just like my little Khal here...

February Goals

One of my friends who blogs often, brought another blog to my attention, its called http://mysocalledchaos.com/ , and its pretty neat. She is doing her goals a little differently. She has lot of small goals for each month and at the end of the month she is going through and letting you know what she did accomplish and what she did not. I think that sounds like a wonderful idea and that it is reasonable.
So, first I want to say in the realm of the big goals last month I did ok but not perfect, but no one is perfect right? I will say I did get the exercise regime going this week and so far have stuck with it. It is extremely simple BUT I am still doing it!
My goals for February will be:
  • Spend day with JoJo making little terrariums
  • See mom for a meal
  • Finish my exercise program and plan how to change it for March
  • Spend some time with Jeremy before he moves in addition to his going away party
  • Get taxes done
  • Finish iPod setup and transferring music
  • Try to see Zach for his birthday (this is more on him than me)
February is a short month and I already lost a few days better get on it!

This week....

So, I need to make a post this week to try to keep up with my goals! But first I want to comment on some of my other goals, so far I have not started the "working out" I am planning on, I never got the stuff on the calendar so 2/2 sounds like a good start date right? Then I also failed to see my mom and grandmother this month. I WILL see them both in February. My moms father in law has been very sick for like two months and then he passed away this week so I am blaming not seeing her on that. BUT as for JoJo she just lives further away and I work weird hours. NOT good excuses.
I got my name changed pretty much on everything! Now just waiting for all the new documentation to flow in, the big stuff I have already but there is a lot that I don't have yet... No worries it will all come in time at least I have done my part. Well, except for going downtown to the Jefferson County Attny office, which I REALLY don't want to do. I need to change my name on my restitution stuff, but the guy didn't pay last month so good chance I have to go down there for court again bc of that, I may just wait do it all at the same time. I have my passport that says I am both Shelby Yates and my ID that says Shelby Gray so I think it'll be ok.
House hunting is going no where. BUT the apartment has decided to be nice and just let us give 30 days notice we are leaving, don't have to fuss with new lease or pay more again. Thank goodness, I am convinced its only bc they have so many open units and don't want to have to turn mine over and try to rent it too. This however does not mean I am ok with just waiting it out. I hate living there so much and cannot wait to get out. I have even agreed to look at some homes in Lyndon I am so fed up with the apartment.
That's all the excitement I know of and honestly its not exciting. Hopefully I will find a new recipe or see a good movie to tell you about besides just random life updates....

Officially Gray

I got my new social security card in the mail today I am now officially Shelby Alisa Gray, so tomorrow looks like I will be driving to LaGrange after work to change my name on my license. Then I will only have like 27 other people to contact to change my name. It really is quite a lot of work and the more I think about it the more places I think I have to contact. I guess bank first then everyone else. I don't even know how to begin to go about changing my title on my truck..... I will say I will be glad that now that I am married and changed my name I can be much more lazy and make Chase take care of things I don't want to, lol. I really hope its not like jumping through hoops to get to change my certifications through the ARRT and the state for my radiation operator license.
Also, everyone keep your fingers crossed for us on this house situation we are hoping to know something tomorrow or Monday on a decision. VA has 11 offers to choose from so no way to know how its going to pan out but we can hope! This house would be the end all be all!!

Movie Review: The Island

So, not too long ago I was told by a friend of a friend if I could write like I talk I could review TV and movies and make money doing it. The problem is I think quite quickly and thats when I come up with my most whitty comments. But I type and write so slowly I forget all the gems I come up with in the correct order before I can get them down. Then I am disappointed that the perfect idiom for any occasion is lost, because my brain works faster than I can get it down. With that in mind I am going to attempt a review of a movie I recently watched and become slightly obsessed with, The Island. Here are a couple of things you need to know, one I am going to include spoilers so if you want to watch it and be surprised by any event minus the ending dont read any more, and two to explain this movie I feel you need a basic understanding of 3 other older movies, which at this point I am going to assume people have seen and just need a refresher on the information that is important to The Island.

The Island is a combination of three other movies, The Matirx, GATTACA, and Never Let Me Go.
Never Let Me Go, is a small time film that most people have never heard of or seen. I only saw it bc it was on the 5 for $20 bin at the Blockbuster and I needed another movie, I hadnt seen it, and Kiera Knightly is in it, cool lets give it a go. Well, here is the general synopsis of that movie, its about 3 friends who are growing up in an orphange type environment, 2 girls Kathy and Ruth and a boy Tommy, obviously you can imagine how that particular part of the plot takes over ::enter love triangle::, but the twist here is these kids are not in an orphanage they are in a facility to help them grow up to be medical donations. As they age they have surgeries to remove organs for transplant to other more priviledged people. Really they arent people at all but property they never say if they are legitamitly clones or if they are just manufactured. There are only two was to escape having all of your organs donated out, first a deferral - a temporary reprieve from organ donation for donors who are in love and can somehow prove it or  become a carer, a "clone" who is given a temporary reprieve from donation to do the job of supporting and comforting donors as they give up their organs. I am not going to bore you with every other detail of this long sad movie the point is that in this alternate universal humans use and view other "humans" solely for the purpose of personal salvation and infinite health.
The Matrix is a movie I hope everyone is familiar with, if not either go back to the hole you just crawled out of or go watch it immediately! Basic premise, a future where AI has taken over and humans live out there lives in cocoons merely being fuel for the machines that rule the world, there is however a group of people who live outside of the virtual reality that are trying to find the one person who can put an end to the machine oppression.
GATTACA, well this movie is very clever. I saw it for the first time in school, a science teacher showed it, notice how the name is all caps and only consists for 4 letters? Well, those 4 letters make up the sequences of your DNA. This movie takes place in a future/alternate universe where humans have stopped breeding naturally and have their children genetically engineered to be perfect combination of the parents DNA, in other words nearly everyone is a test tube baby. BUT occasionally someone is born as a "love child" and they are then considered "invalid", making everyone else valid. The actual story line in the movie isn't important just the world.
So, here is how those ideas all meshed into a Michael Bay film- The Island.
The movie opens in a very clean futuristic facility and we meet Lincoln Six Echo as he wakes up, we follow him through his morning and then through his day. Within a few minutes of waking we see a "lottery" drawing, where one member of this society is chosen to go to the island. They explain that this world is the survivors of a world contamination and they all believe they survived and are rebuilding society, but they cant leave the facility due to the contamination outside, they believe the only safe and clean place outside the facility is the island and the only way to get there is by winning the random lottery. Obviously this all seems a little too good to be true, plus why are the peoples diet, exercise, UV exposure, etc all so closely monitored? And my big question was what about all these fools working there? Did they survive the contamination and how come they cant win the lottery???
Well, the answer is they are clones. This is a future where humans can pay a ridiculous amount of money to have a clone made to extend their life 60-80 more years, or your clone can carry your baby etc. BUT the people who are buying the clones are told that the clones live in a vegetative state and do not have feelings, emotions, or thoughts, they are merely a "product". The clones even work in the facility helping to make the next series of clones. One aspect of this movies concept is that the clones are brought to life at the age that the person is scanned, so a 50 year old person gives a clone that appears to be 50 but is merely a few years old. They then live there life in the facility until they are chosen, once they are "birthed" from the cocoons they are made in they are shown a video that brainwashes them to believe they had a normal life and childhood before the contamination. It also tells them they are special and have a purpose.
I was going to go in to depth about the rest of the movie but I don't want to ruin the end for everyone so I will just stop there. If you are intrigued you should go watch it!
BTW I wrote this in 2014 and apparently never published it so its old, lol.

2014 In Review AND 2015 Starts!

2014 went by quickly. I spent most of the year planning a wedding. Which was awesome, but it already seems like it was so long ago and it has only been a few months. So, in case you missed that yes, I am married now.

STILL trying to get out of the damn apt, its killing me, I don't know what is going to happen, we have to be out end of Feb and right now things are not looking like they are going to pan out well for that. I am trying to stay positive, but easier said than done, we've been at this house thing forever. Note to all buying/acquiring a house is NOT easy or fun!

My moms relationship with everyone is strained at best. I am doing my best to have a relationship with her even though she chooses to stay with Ray, but my brother and my grandmother have written her off completely, they will not forgive her and she wont divorce Ray so there is a stand-off and I don't think anyone is ever going to win. I am sure one day all three of them will regret the decisions they have made in regard to this situation but I cant make any of them realize that now.

My friend Elizabeth, over at http://chubbymadness.com/, has a lofty bunch of goals for this year! Really its 101 goals in 1001 days so its like two and a half years but its still a lot of stuff! Anyhow, she has inspired me, once again, to do more! First I enjoy she has set goals not "resolutions". Second they are lots of little and big things, things you can do daily, weekly or monthly, and things that will take some actual time and effort. But best they are real, reasonable and fun! SO if you have time jump over check out her blog and her list she might inspire you too!

Here are my goals for the year!

1. Credit card debt GONE!
2. Finish Empires 300 top movies of all time! (stole this from Elizabeth, and I only need 135)
3. Spend one day a month with my mom and grandmother, respectively.
4. Blog at LEAST once a month, hopefully weekly!
5. Do simple daily exercises, plank, wall sit and sun salutations, start small work up to longer lengths!

I think 5 simple goals are enough, right? I can always add more!

2014

2014 was a blogging failure. BUT here we are at the end of it and I can start fresh with the New Year, so soon I will post a 2014 update, because a lot happened and then I AM going to keep up with fresh blogs at least once a week (or month). I would like this to be a place friends and family can keep up with what is going on, but first I have to commit to it! Here's to a fresh start.

Exercise

Exercise. These days its like a dirty word, to some a 4 letter word if you know what I mean. I have been seriously struggling for the last year to do something and now I am in a place I am not happy about and need/want to change. My friend Elizabeth has a blog called Chubby Madness, chubbymadness.wordpress.com, and she writes about how we need to learn to love ourselves and love our bodies for what they are, and not compare ourselves to unrealistic ideals we have learned from media. I agree completely with her that I shouldnt judge myself and my body based on others, but she also does encourage and see that being healthy and having a balance in your life is good as well. So, with Elizabeth in mind I have been re-evaluating my lifestyle and choices and I intend on making a change for the better.
Yesterday was day one, now I am extremely out of shape and need to get my muscle mass back and drop a few inches of fat here and there, all in all I need to loose about 10-15 lbs, but thinking like Elizabeth thats not a good way to put it in perspective. Instead I am going to make my goal sticking to working out and getting my stamina up, then when I have accomplished that I am going to re-eval where I am and see what I can change to get the results I want to see.
I did my yoga meltdown video with Jillian yesterday morning and it was so much harder than the last time I attempted it, which I was very sad about. But by the end of the video I did feel good I finished it and started working towards being healthier. Today I will have no time at all to exercise really so this morning I did 5 sun salutations before I got ready for work to stretch myself out, because yes, I am very sore in some spots from the workout. I plan on doing the video again tomorrow and then on Saturday. Friday after work I need to take Libby on a good brisk walk. Then on Saturday I will plan for next week. This is going to be a difficult month to start working in working out, ha that wasnt planned. Work is going to be crazy we are trying to get all this new software downloaded and train on it, plus go to a seminar in Sept, but as I think about it if I can manage to make it work and get started here in a difficult month I cant make excuses for why I cant stick with it in the future.
Oh lastly, one of my next goals is some 3 and 5 lb weights and a new video to work on muscle mass, esp in my arms, I dont want to be one of those flabby arms ladies, and a tummy video because for the first time in my life this year I have gotten a little more fat around my middle than I am comfortable with.

Untitled

I have been having an interesting couple of months.
My old car got totaled, my brother was rear ended in it and the guy had no insurance so Chad and I both lost money on that. I have yet to decide what exactly I am going to do with the car. It would be nice to get a little money out of it bc the engine is in perfect working order, just the back 1/3 is demolished. I am really quite frustrated and do not want to deal with it. The car is just sitting in the driveway at dads, doing nothing.
Work has been busy, busy we have been working pretty late everyday for a couple of weeks now. Last week we never got out before 730-745 everyday. It gets old always getting off so late. But I need the hours so I cant complain. This week the doctor has to go to FL again for more CEU hours. Yay for off on Friday, but I dont get paid for it. And we are open morning hours on Thursday but I have an obgyn appt that cant be moved for that morning, so that figures.
I have hit a roadblock with reading I have every intention of getting back to it, its just this lack of time to dedicate to it is difficult. I have a never ending circle of laundry and dishes going at home, plus taking care of the dog, work and dinner seems like all my time is always gone. When I relax with Chase he doesnt like it if I read bc I dont interact with him so I dont read in the evenings. I need to try to before bed more again. That was working for a little while.
I am very frustrated by money right now, ever since I got the truck I cant get back on track, part of that is because of the situation with the car completely being a lost cause. Part of it is just how paydays have fallen. I am praying I can get things back on track after this month, but we shall see.

GoT Reading Update

So, I am more than halfway through the first book of the Song of Fire and Ice collection, A Game of Thrones. Here are my thoughts on the book vs the show. First off, the book much much better obviously but also I can see how the producers and writers on the show have decided to make some of the scenes they use. There are a lot of scenes in the show that are a combination of two separate events in the book, typically the events are very closely related and they have combined the two and taken a little away to get what we see on the show. They are typically fairly in line with the storyline of the book but in general things are quite different. As I get further into the book things to seem to change more and more. The story is just so much more developed and detailed. There are so many things that make you think and change your opinion of the events you already know of. I cannot wait to get to the end of the book. The new girl who works with me now, Becky, is also reading them and she just finished the first book and said she could barely put it down at the end! Brans story line in the book is so much more detailed and interesting than what we got in the show. The whole trip to the Eyrie was condensed into one day on the show more or less and it was quite an event. Also Ser Rodrick was with Catelyn the whole trip, not back in Winterfell and there is a funny storyline about his whiskers. The way that things went down in Kings Landing with Eddard are quite different, not 100% but different. Anyhow, I really dont want to say too much because I do not want to give anything away. Oh, lastly though the amount of information we are denied about Dany's storyline in the show vs the book might be the worst, the Dothraki make much more sense to me now than in the show.

Update

Last night I saw the season finale of season 3 of GoT, everyone who watches knows the season finale wasnt much compared to the second to last episode "The Rains of Castamere" but better known as "The Red Wedding Episode". But it was an epic episode, and I am so excited. I am mostly excited bc I found out that they have split this season, this 3rd season was the first half of book 3 and season 4 will be then end of book 3 with possibly a little bit of the beginning of 4. So, yay for more detailed seasons of GoT! I am super sad that we wont get new episodes for 42 weeks. Thats some shit.
But I am reading the books now! Its official I started this morning. I have read the prologue and the first two chapters a Bran chapter and a Catelyn chapter. All three of these parts of the book have been in the show but they are so much more detailed and perfect on paper. The thing I like best is that I have a mental picture and a voice for almost every character. I agree making up your own is sometimes the most fun part of reading a new book, discovering characters but then when you see the movie or show you are disappointed bc they dont look and sound like youd expect. I like that its already set forth who everyone is and I can have Jon Snow in my head even more now.

JoJo and I decided we are going on an impromptu trip! Bob keeps going all over the damn place fishing and so I asked him when everyone was going to do something fun and he said ask your JoJo. So, I told JoJo Bob said we can go on a trip bc he keeps going fishing and I have a 4 day weekend next week so we threw together this little trip. We leave Thursday for Hilton Head Island and come back Sunday. Sunday we have to leave at like 715 AM so its really only 3 days but still. I dont have to take any time off and I get a free few days away plus just with JoJo and I can get some serious reading done!

life gets in the way

Things have been busy it seems. Honestly I couldnt even tell you what I have been doing that is keeping me so busy but it seems I rarely have any time to do whatever I want and I am constantly getting ready for the next thing I need to do. Here are a few highlights of the last couple weeks and what they have held.
Chase's brother (David) and his gf (Maci) are pregnant. Yeah, I suppose technically she is the pregnant one but they are in it together. I have many thoughts and feelings on this that I choose not to share in a public way. If you really want to know call me.
I got a new car, its not a car its an SUV. I got a 05 Tahoe Z71 4x4 its like champagne or sand colored. The color is dads favorite. It has less that 100K miles on it and we got it $5K under price, so YAY! But I am nervous about the payment. Luckily insurance is only like $30 more a month so that is exciting considering I had liability on the car and have full coverage on the Tahoe, but whatever. Chad is buying the car from me. He already gave me a $100 and $55 for the insurance for the month, when he gets back from his trip he is going to get his truck sold and give me the rest of the money then and we will get the title transferred at that point.
Work is crazy this month. This week we were off Monday for the Memorial Day holiday but I have to work Saturday from 10-5 and Sunday from 12-5 then we work full days Mon-Wed and the office will be closed Thurs-Fri but I will only be off Thursday, Friday I have to go to Lyndon Fest to work from 4-7 then Saturday work 12-7 same event, but I will be off Sunday. Then we have a normal work week followed by another week where we work all day Mon-Wed and are off Thursday Friday so 4 day weekend but we dont get paid for any of the days we dont work. That is part of why I am helping with all these events on the weekends. Also, bc we are going to be in St. Louis with Zach's dad James for the Cardinals Padres game. Its looking like that might be the only game we get to this summer. Chase may be going this weekend to St. Louis but I cant go bc of work.
I havent been reading much which is disappointing for me. I am a week behind on GoT which is sad. Havent got to see The Great Gatsby or Star Trek 2 yet. I am up for a raise in like 19 days so yay hope its a big one!
